Makeover at Monticello...

I can't believe it's been a month since I posted!  I gave my space a little makeover and thought you might like to see it.

I have a thing about dress forms, the more wear & tear & tattered, the better.

I love many things but I'm a Victorian at heart, if you haven't noticed!

Love this torn & tattered french curtain panel. I only use it for display because I can't part with it!

This is a very old 4ft. tall framed canvas screen...gorgeous!

Easter is just around the corner
and the bunnies are waiting...

Thanks for stopping by!
I'll try not to stay gone so long next time!

Birthday at The Beach...

When you live in the Pacific Northwest y0u know it's a real treat to go to the Oregon coast in January and find Spring like weather.

We were at Cannon Beach this week where it was clear and sunny and got up to 59 degrees!  I know that doesn't sound very warm but when we left home, it was only 37 degrees.

This shot was taken from the balcony of our room.

These two shots were taken at sunset from our balcony
...beautiful

It was a little foggy one morning but still beautiful.

Me & Sam

We surprised a herd of elk!  I wished I could have gotten the shot of them looking at me before they turned and ran.

We spent 3 great days at the coast...walked the beach, ate great food and wine...Heaven.  We've already booked March reservations for our 30th anniversary!

Can't wait!

Thanks for stopping by!

Moss Love...

Who doesn't love moss?  One of the benefits of living in the great Pacific Northwest is no shortage of moss.  I love it!

Sure we get more than our fair share of rain but look what comes from it...

And after all, green is my favorite color!

A Bright White New Year!

Happy New Year everyone!

My New Years Eve was very uneventful. I've been fighting a cold so it was a short night for me...
two glasses of wine and a shot of Nyquil and I was out by 8:00!  So long 2012.

Hello 2013
We had an unexpected snowfall yesterday so we started off the new year with about 3 inches of snow on the ground.

This morning I took these pictures as the fog settled in...

Sweet pair of doves

As the morning went on, the sun made it's appearance.  I only  love the snow when the sun's shining.

My handsome son, Sam

It's just so pretty, but I'd much rather have those 80 degree days.

View from my front porch.  The palms look a little out of place with snow on the ground but it's my way of keeping the tropical feel of summer year around!

Enjoy the rest of your New Years Day!

What Happened???

The time has flown by and so much has happened in the past few weeks!

We made it through Thanksgiving and then it was off to the races to prepare for Monticello's biggest event of the year...

This show is spectacular thanks to some amazing talent.  Monticello has some of the best and most creative dealers in the Northwest.  We couldn't put on this event without them.  In addition to our in-house talent, we are also honored to have these very talented guests participating in the show...

Sarah of  Elizabeth Hue Mercantile, Longview WA
Cindy of Tarte, Aurora OR
Joy of Auntie Joy, Silverton OR
Kathy & Marv of Colby Cottage, Eugene OR
&
Lenette of Garden Girl of Yakima WA

Thank you all for your hard work and dedication.
The show continues through January 1st and is being restocked daily!  If you haven't been in, you don't know what you're missing!

Then... on December 10th, I had the honor of attending the wedding of my dear friends, Joe & Jermonne, also known to
many as The BARN HOUSE Boys.

I cannot tell you how much I adore these guys and how happy I am for them.  However, it was also a bittersweet day as not only was it a day of celebration, it was also the day we all had to say goodbye.   The boys left the next day for their new home...Dallas, Texas.   We will all miss them dearly but wish them love and luck on their new journey.  The Texans don't know yet how lucky they are to have them, but they will.
Do I see a BARN HOUSE Texas style in their future??  We'll have to wait and see.

And last, I'll leave you with a few updates of my space, although a few items have already sold since taking these shots!

Thanks for checking in on me!
I'll see you back here soon!

Happy Holidays Everyone!
